Jess Phillips is rumoured to quit the Labour leadership race

According to multiple sources, ‘Birmingham Yardley’ MP Jess Phillips is set to leave the labour leadership race.

To enter the final stage of the leadership contest all the candidates must have nominations from 5% of constituency Labour parties (CLPs) or three affiliate groups including two trade unions.

Since Jess Phillips MP has had no backing as of yet, she looks like she is going to jump before she is pushed.

Favourite to win Keir Starmer MP already has the backing and is making it to the final round of the Labour leadership contest.

Mr Corbyn’s successor will be announced on 4 April.
