Jess Philipps indicated she wants to rejoin the EU
During an embarrassing interview on Andrew Marr, Jess Philipps hinted that once elected leader of the labour party… Rejoining the EU will be an option.
In the interview, Jess stated that “If our country is safer, if it is more economically viable to be in the EU, then I will fight for that, regardless of how difficult that argument is to make.”
This indicates that once we leave the EU and the democratic vote has successfully been upheld, if Jess becomes the leader of the Labour Party she would fight to overturn the democratic referendum.
This is a disgrace to the democracy of our nation, and the Brexit referendum has been a battle that has split the nation.
Democracy and the voice of the people should never be disregarded, and slandering half the nation with labels such as `racist’, ‘fascist’ and ‘xenophobic’, should be a lesson to any party that decides to ignore the voice of the nation through democratic voting.
The Brexit result has not been an easy success and has been hard fought for by the ‘Brexiters’ from all classes and backgrounds for the past 3 years.
It has come to no surprise that the Labour Party is still on the path of self-destruction.
